Our Programs

Empowering Communities and Transforming Lives Through Programs That Champion Diversity, Inclusion, and Social Justice

At the heart of our mission is a commitment to creating meaningful change through programs that uplift and empower marginalized communities. We provide resources, education, and support designed to address the unique challenges faced by minorities impacted by diversity, inclusion, and social justice issues. Our initiatives foster equity, inspire growth, and drive systemic change, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to a more inclusive and just society.

p2 Period Poverty Initiative

p2-Period Poverty initiative is designed to raise awareness about disparities in our community when it comes to being supplied with the proper products to manage a monthly menstrual cycle. TDN collects donations and distributes them to all the elementary schools, known afterschool programs in the city, girls softball teams, as well as local businesses.

Fill the Seats

Fill the Seats is an initiative dedicated to civic engagement and public awareness. TDN attends the City Council meetings every Tuesday to keep the public informed about major issues that are of concern to residents. We advocate and participate in public input opportunities. Under this platform, we also host a bi-annual youth and candidates forum during election season. In the near future, we plan to host bipartisan workshops and educational sessions to prepare citizens on how to run for office and be a well informed voter.

Cultural Fair & Juneteenth Celebration

Every June, TDN hosts a Cultural Fair and Juneteenth Celebration to recognize and celebrate the various cultures that exist in Taunton. It includes retail vendors, dance performances, cultural performances, music, vendors, and food. Also featuring activities for kids/families, including game truck, yard games, and more!

Power to the Polls

Power to the Polls is TDN’s version of a voter registration drive and community outreach event designed to educate the community of their voter rights. Have your voice count by registering to vote, check your voter registration status and update your voter information.
